New Mexico

New Mexico has 23 federally recognized tribes. According to 2020 U.S. Census data, Indigenous peoples represent 12.7% of the total population of New Mexico. In order to achieve parity in political representation, we need to elect 246 Native leaders to office at all levels across the state.

This is a work in progress, as Native peoples are often left out of demographic data and research. If you are a Native elected or appointed official, please fill out this form so that we can make sure you are included in our data.
