Maryland

Maryland has two state recognized tribes. According to 2020 U.S. Census data, Indigenous peoples represent 2.3% of the total population of Maryland. In order to achieve parity in political representation, we need to elect 48 Native leaders to office at all levels across the state.

This is a work in progress, as Native peoples are often left out of demographic data and research. If you are a Native elected or appointed official, please fill out this form so that we can make sure you are included in our data.
